To become a Licensed Security Officer in the State of Florida you must only complete a total of 40-hours of instruction for a Class “D” & “G” license with no required additional training.

To become a Police Officer in the State of Florida you must complete at least 24-weeks of training at your local Police Academy or a State Law Enforcement Training Center. After completing the 24-week training an officer will attend recurring training either within their agency or at the local police training academy.
